I just transfered this space to WordPress because that’s what Windows Live told me to do, or else, the space would be deleted. So it’s a good thing I moved it to WordPress because I just finished reading all the stuff I wrote since I started the blog. Like the ENTIRE thing. All the blog posts, everything. It’s pretty good, if I do say so myself. So I’m happy to have kept it. It brings back many good/bad/funny/sad/amuzing/confusing memories, and also makes me marvel at my awesome writing skills
It also serves to inspire me to write more. The only problem is that since I spent most of my waking hours at work, I have no time to do any decent writing. Decent writing, i.e. writing my book, writing my zine, writing slogans and manifestas for grrrlVIRUS flyers, coming up with a good idea for an article, etc.
Seriously, aside from writing, I can think of much better things to do than work at the place where I’m at now. Sleeping rocks, for example. But unfortunately, money is needed, and maybe some day I’ll have enough of it to just say “I quit, suckers!” and actually go on to living my life.
But until then, I’ll use whatever little bits of time I have during the day to tap-tap-tap away on my comp, or preferably my Rose Madder typewriter (mmmmm!), and hope to strike some brilliant combination of keys and revel in the writer’s paradise I call “The Zone.” In one of the many Stephen King’s books I read, I saw that he also refers to that feeling as “The Zone”, and I was like “Holy shit! He totally gets it! That’s what being a writer is all about! He knows that secret place writers retreat to every once in a while, and he also called it The Zone. Hell fucking yeah!”
So every week, I can’t wait until the weekend when I can safely retreat to my Zone and not worry about losing track of time, which is something that basically comes with the zoning territory.
Plans for this weekend:
- Sleeping on Friday afternoon after work
- Hanging out with my bf and maybe having Friday night dinner with his folks
- Write all of Saturday until about 7:00 p.m.
- Do the mundane shit that needs to be done (laundry, food, dishes)
- Maybe go out with my bf again to end the night
Heh, what do you know? Another goddamn list!
Peace, love and back to boring zone-blocking work…
