People like to say that marijuana’s bad while taking another draw from their cigarette or another sip from their beer, not realizing that the same substances they are consumming are just as bad as the one they are condemning.
In case you classify yourself as one of those people, here are some pretty little facts about alcohol abuse.
Reduced immune system, fatty liver, cirrhosis, gastritis, panceatitis, hepatitis, cancer (mouth, throat, esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas), Wernicke’s and Korsakoff’s cerebral diseases, ulcers, anemia, heart disease, decreased sexual drive, (for men:) shrunken testicles, loss of body hair, enlarged breasts, and reduced fertility, (for women:) no more mensies, shrunken breasts, reduced fertility (pregnant women who drink may give birth to a child with Fetal Alcohol Syndrom), discoloration of the skin, blood disorders, central nervous system disorders, loss of friends, loss of husband, wife and kids, loss of job, house and car, loss of mind and loss of life.
Basically anything you can possibly think of that can go wrong will go wrong in relation to alcohol abuse. Marijuana can very well have the same effects. Therefore, moderation is great for both alcohol and marijuana use, but that’s besides the point.
The point here is that I refuse to believe that pot-haters worldwide have never had a glass of wine or a shot of vodka, or even gotten drunk. People like to party and drink and it’s for those same reasons that I like to party and toke. So before you tell me that smoking is bad (which I know it is), remember that drinking isn’t any better. Besides, I’m skinny, I need to eat more, weed helps me achieve that, alcohol just makes me throw it back up. So there.
